Live · Verified reviews on the surveyor directory

The proof you can't buy. Only earn.

There is no review box on home.co.uk. A review exists because a job existed — scored one to five by the homemover who booked you, on work you actually completed. It lands on your public profile by itself, and free badges carry it onto your own website.

How a review is earned

Five steps, and none of them are yours.

You never send a form, chase a link or import a spreadsheet. The review path exists because the booking exists — your only job is the survey.

1

A booking runs through the platform

A homemover books your firm — through your directory profile, a Homemove referral or your own pipeline in the Bookings CRM. That booking record is the only ticket into the review system: no booking, no review, ever.

2

The job completes

A job counts as done when the booking wasn't cancelled and its booked date has passed — the same rule that drives the completed-job tally on your directory card. Every completed job also ticks up that tally, so the proof builds even before anyone writes a word.

3

The homemover scores it — one to five

The customer who booked you rates the job out of five stars and can add written feedback in their own words. Not a template, not a prompt sheet — whatever they actually thought of the survey, the communication and the report they received.

4

Their privacy is kept by design

The review shows the homemover's first name and last initial — “First L.” — never their full name. They reviewed the job; they didn't consent to a public listing of who they are. Real people, verifiably real jobs, privacy respected.

5

It lands on your public profile — automatically

The review appears in the Reviews tab on your directory profile and your star average updates on your card in the search results. Nothing to approve, import or transcribe — and if you want to respond, you have one official reply per review, shown publicly beneath it.

The badge forge

Reviews go in. A reputation comes out.

One review is a nice moment. A stack of them, pressed together on your profile, is the thing a stranger trusts. Watch the compression happen.

Your firm Verified reviews · home.co.uk

Your directory profile — where every verified review lands and every badge points.

The cards above are illustrative — placeholders, not real reviews. The real ones are written by your customers, and that's the point: this page can't fake them, and neither can anyone else.

Under the glass

What a verified review is made of.

Every part of the review card exists for a reason — and every badge on your website wires back to the profile that holds them.

Anatomy of a verified review

The verified chip proves a completed booking sits behind the review. The score is the homemover's, one to five. The words are theirs too — which is why this diagram shows placeholder bars, not invented quotes. Beneath it all: your one official reply, public and professional.

The badge ladder

Four embeds climb from a simple pill to a full-width strip: the Trusted Surveyor pill any verified firm can use, then Founder 250 badges as a single, a cluster and a strip — in dark and light themes. Every rung links back to your directory profile, so proof on your site delivers visitors to the reviews behind it.

Trust by construction

There is no review box. That's the feature.

Most review systems fight fakes after they arrive. Ours never lets them in: with no public form, the only door into your review record is a completed booking with your firm's name on it.

Nowhere for fakes to enter

A rival can't score you. A bot can't script you. A disgruntled stranger who never booked you can't touch your record. The review form simply does not exist outside a completed job — so your average is made entirely of customers you actually served.

Your right of reply

One official reply per review, up to 2,000 characters, shown publicly beneath it. Thank the customer, add context, or put your side of a hard job on record — and edit or remove your reply later if you change your mind. The review stays; your voice sits beside it.

You can't edit the verdict

You cannot rewrite, hide or delete a homemover's review — and neither can anyone else's firm. That single constraint is what a homebuyer is trusting when they read your profile: a record no one on the selling side could polish.

Already earned a reputation elsewhere? Validated Feefo, Trustpilot and Google profiles can be blended, count-weighted, into the rating on your card — carried in, not reset to zero.

Your reviews dashboard

Every score, every word, one screen.

The Reviews area of your surveyor dashboard holds the whole record: your star average, the full five-to-one distribution, your review count, your completed-job tally and the date of your latest review — with every review listed newest first.

The distribution, not just the average

See how many 5s, 4s, 3s, 2s and 1s make up your average — the same shape of honesty a buyer applies when they read your profile.

Reply without leaving the page

Post, edit or remove your official reply against any review, inline. Replies appear promptly on your public profile.

Jobs done counts too

Your completed-job tally sits beside the reviews — because a hundred quiet jobs done on time is proof as well, and buyers can see it on your card.

The proof lifecycle

Do the job. The proof does the rest.

Between one survey and the next booking sits a stranger deciding whether to trust you. This is what they find.

1 · The job

Done well, handed over

The survey lands on time, the report answers the questions. This is the only part you control — and the only part you need to.

2 · The words

Scored by the person who paid

Your homemover rates the job one to five and says what it was like in their own words. It goes straight to your public profile.

3 · The record

Kept where the next buyer looks

Review by review, your profile becomes the thing no advert can be: a record of jobs that actually happened, read at the exact moment someone is choosing a surveyor.

Where proof surfaces

Working at every step between search and booking.

A homebuyer comparing firms on the surveyor directory meets your proof three times before they ever pick up the phone — and a fourth time on your own website.

Next to Get Quote

On bookable profiles the quote button shares the page with your reviews — the buyer reads what real customers said, then books without leaving.

On your website

The badges

Badge embeds carry the proof onto your own site — and every click on one delivers the visitor back to the profile that holds the reviews.

Earned vs collected

Three ways to show proof. One survives scrutiny.

What's in the box

Eight things working for you while you're on a roof.

Job-verified, or it doesn't exist

Every review is anchored to a completed booking. There is no other way into your record — which is precisely why the record is worth showing to strangers.

Zero chasing

No feedback forms to send, no follow-up emails to write, no third-party invites to pay for. The platform holds the booking, so the platform holds the review path too.

The full distribution

Your dashboard shows the average and the shape behind it — how many 5s, 4s, 3s, 2s and 1s — plus your latest-review date, so you always know your public record cold.

One official reply per review

Up to 2,000 characters, posted from your dashboard, shown publicly beneath the review. Edit it or remove it whenever you like; the customer's words stay put.

Reviewer privacy by design

Homemovers appear as a first name and last initial. They scored the job — they didn't sign up to be listed. Buyers still see real people; your customers keep their names.

Jobs done is proof too

Your completed-job tally counts every uncancelled booking whose date has passed — visible on your card, so a quiet month of solid work still builds the record.

Badges that report back

Every embed logs impressions and clicks, so the badge on your homepage is a measurable referrer to your profile — not a decoration you hope is working.

Layouts for any website

Why it compounds

The pipeline that pays you builds your proof.

A job completes A review lands Your profile earns trust The next buyer books

Every booking that runs through the Bookings CRM is a completed job that can score your firm — so the same pipeline that pays you is quietly building the record that wins the next job. Reviews aren't a marketing task you fit in on a Friday; they are a by-product of doing the work.

And the loop reaches beyond the directory: put the badges on the site the Website Builder gives you, point your Campaigns at past clients, and watch the whole engine's conversion in Performance. Proof, once earned, works every channel you have.

Getting started

From unclaimed listing to badge on your homepage.

Most RICS-regulated firms are already on the directory — you claim, you don't create. Everything after that is the work you'd be doing anyway.

1

Claim your firm

Search by name or postcode and claim your listing — free, about two minutes. Not there? Register in the same panel.

2

Get verified

Verification confirms your firm is the RICS-regulated business on the listing — it's what makes your reviews and badges mean something.

3

Do the jobs

Run bookings through the platform. Each completed job ticks your tally and hands the homemover a score card only they can fill in.

4

Wear the badge

Copy your badge snippet from the dashboard, paste it into your website, and let the impressions-and-clicks log show you it's working.

FAQ

Common questions about Reviews & Badges

Verified reviews

Can customers leave fake reviews?

No. There is no open review box anywhere on home.co.uk — every review is feedback scored by a homemover against a completed job that ran through the platform. A stranger, a rival or a bot has no route in, because the only people who can score your firm are customers whose work you actually carried out.

Where do my reviews actually appear?

In three places. On your public directory profile, in a dedicated Reviews tab. On your card in the directory search results, as a star average, review count and completed-job tally. And on your own website, via badge embeds that link back to the profile holding the reviews.

Can I reply to a review?

Yes — one official reply per review, up to 2,000 characters, shown publicly beneath the review on your profile. You can edit your reply later or remove it entirely. Use it to thank a customer, add context, or put your side of a hard job on the record.

Can I edit or remove a review I don't like?

No — the score and the words belong to the homemover, and that is exactly what makes the proof worth having. A review record a firm could edit would just be a testimonials page. Your lever is the official reply: one per review, shown publicly, where you can add context or respond professionally to criticism.

How is my star average worked out?

It is the plain average of the one-to-five scores homemovers have left on your completed jobs. Your reviews dashboard shows the average alongside the full star distribution (how many 5s, 4s, 3s, 2s and 1s), your total review count, your completed-job tally and the date of your latest review.

Who sees the reviewer's name?

Reviews are shown with the homemover's first name and last initial only — for example “First L.”. They reviewed the job; they didn't consent to a public directory listing of their full name, so it is never shown.

Badges & embeds

Can I put the badges on my own website?

Yes. Every badge is a small self-contained embed served from home.co.uk — copy the snippet from your dashboard and paste it into any site builder or CMS. The Trusted Surveyor pill is available to every verified firm, and Founder 250 firms also get single, cluster and strip badge layouts. No website yet? The Website Builder gives your firm one to put them on.

What badge layouts and themes are there?

Four layouts: the Trusted Surveyor pill for any verified firm, plus Founder 250 badges as a single badge (pinned to one postcode area), a cluster (the areas you hold) and a full-width strip. Each comes in dark and light themes, with coloured variants available, so the badge sits naturally on whatever your website looks like.

Do I need a developer to add a badge?

No. Each badge is a copy-paste snippet — grab it from the Widgets area of your dashboard and paste it into your site builder, CMS or page HTML. There is no build step, no script maintenance and nothing to update when your details change: the badge is served live from home.co.uk.

How do I know a badge on my site is actually working?

Every badge tracks impressions (each time it renders on your site) and clicks (each time a visitor follows it). Both are logged per badge, so you can see from your dashboard whether the proof on your site is being seen and followed — not just assume it is.

What happens when someone clicks a badge?

The click is logged and the visitor is taken to your directory profile on home.co.uk — the page that holds your reviews, your coverage and your booking route. The badge is a doorway to the proof behind it, not a static image.

Getting started & cost

What does it cost?

Nothing. Verified reviews, the Reviews tab on your profile, the reviews dashboard, the Trusted Surveyor embed and the Founder 250 badges are all included with a claimed listing — no subscription, and no charge per impression or per click.

How do I start collecting reviews?

Claim your firm's listing — most RICS-regulated firms are already on the directory, so you claim rather than create. Once verified, every job that runs through the platform is a completed booking the homemover can score. There is no form to send, no link to chase: the review path exists because the booking exists.

I already have reviews on Trustpilot or Google — do they count?

Yes. You can add your existing Feefo, Trustpilot or Google review profile from your dashboard. Once the profile is validated as genuinely your firm's, its rating and review count are blended, count-weighted, into the rating shown on your card — so the reputation you have already earned elsewhere is carried in rather than reset to zero.
