New · Part of Bookings in every surveyor account

All your work in one place. Every deadline in view.

List your panels, add the job, send the report on time. Jobs from the other panels you work for sit beside your own in Home, each with the panel's reference and its report deadline counting down.

Jobs, fees, late reports

Step one · List your panels

Tell Home once. It remembers every panel's rules.

Most surveyors keep each panel's turnaround in their head or on a sticky note. Write it down once here: the panel's name, the fee it usually pays, and how many days it gives you for the report.

  • Working days or calendar days. Working days skip weekends and bank holidays in England and Wales.
  • The usual fee fills in by itself on every new job from that panel, and you can change it per job.
  • Turnaround changed? Update the panel and the deadline moves on every open job, except where you set the date yourself.

Step two · Add the job

Watch one panel job go in.

A panel's instruction lands on a Wednesday morning. It takes four fields and one tap to have it in Home with its deadline.

Counting down

Report due Wed 14 Oct

On the panel work page, on the job in Bookings and on the Bookings hub. Due in 7 days, then due tomorrow, then due today.

You upload it in Panel A's portal and tap Report sent

The countdown stops and the job records that it went a day early.

How it works

One job list. Whoever sent the work.

Homemove bookings already arrive in Bookings set up. Panel work brings the jobs from your other panels into the same place, with the one thing panels care about most: the date the report is due.

1

Add it with the quick form

Pick the panel, type their reference and the address, and the fee and deadline fill in. Add the appointment and who lets you in if the instruction gives them. First panel? Add it from the same form.

2

Or tag a job you already have

If the job is already an enquiry in Bookings, open it and tag it with the panel it came from. Its deadline then shows in the Bookings list and on the job.

3

Mark the report sent

When the report has gone back to the panel, tap Report sent. The countdown stops, and the job counts towards that panel's turnaround and late reports.

Add the job · the countdown

The due date, wherever the job appears.

Late reports usually happen because a deadline was somewhere you weren't looking. So it travels with the job.

Panel work

Plainly

What it does, and what stays with the panel.

Home does

  • Keep the panels you work for, with their fee and turnaround
  • Work out each report's due date, skipping weekends and bank holidays where the panel counts working days
  • Show the deadline counting down wherever the job appears
  • Hold the appointment and access details on the job
  • Add up jobs, fees, turnaround and late reports by panel

The panel's own portal still does

  • Take the finished report. You upload it there, then tap Report sent here
  • Send you the instruction. Today you add it with the short form; forwarding the email in comes later
  • Set the turnaround. Home uses the number you enter for each panel

FAQ

Common questions about panel work

Panels and deadlines

What counts as a panel here?

Any panel manager or firm that sends you jobs, other than Homemove. You add each one once with its name, the fee it usually pays and how many days it allows for the report.

How is the report deadline worked out?

From the day the panel instructs the job, plus the days the panel allows. For a panel that counts working days, weekends and bank holidays in England and Wales are skipped. You can set a different date on any job.

What does the countdown show?

How many days are left until the report is due, then due tomorrow, due today, and how many days late once the date has passed. When you mark the report as sent it shows whether it went on time.

Where does the deadline appear?

On the panel work page, on the enquiry in Bookings when the job is tagged with a panel, in the Bookings list beside that enquiry, and on the Bookings hub.

Adding jobs

How fast is it to add a job?

The form only asks for what a panel instruction contains: the panel, their reference, the address and the fee, with the appointment and access details if you have them. The fee fills in from the panel and the deadline is worked out for you.

Can I tag a job that is already in Bookings?

Yes. Open the enquiry and tag it with the panel it came from and their reference. The deadline then shows in the list and on the job.

Do I need the homeowner's email?

No. A panel job only needs the address. Access details such as the homeowner's name and phone number are optional.

Analytics

What does the analytics by panel show?

For jobs instructed in the period you choose: how many jobs each panel sent, the fees, the average time from instruction to report sent, how many reports went late, and how many are still open.

How is a report counted as late?

If it was marked as sent after its due date, or it is still open after the due date has passed.

Limits and privacy

Does it submit the report to the panel's portal?

No. You still upload the report in the panel's own portal. Home keeps the job, the deadline and the record of when you sent it.

Can I forward the panel's email instead of typing the job?

Not yet. Today you add the job with the short form. Bringing jobs in from a forwarded email is planned for a later stage.

Who can see panel jobs?

Only people at your firm. Panel jobs and their access details are not shown on your public profile, and deleting a job deletes its access details.

What does it cost?

Panel work is part of the Bookings tools in your Home surveyor account.
