Is listing on Home.co.uk really free for surveyors?
Yes. Listing in the directory is completely free. No listing fees, no monthly subscription to be visible, no lead-sale commissions, no paywalls. The only fee in the model is a small transaction fee on direct bookings, paid only when a consumer books and pays you through the platform.
How do consumers reach my firm?
Consumers book directly from your profile. They see your services, prices, coverage and turnaround times, and book the survey straight into your dashboard. No quote auction, no per-lead fee, no commission on the job itself. We take a small transaction fee on each direct booking. That's the only fee, and it's only charged when you actually get the work. You also get phone and email click-through for anyone who wants to talk first.
So how does Home.co.uk make money?
Three places, all aligned with you actually winning work. (1) A small transaction fee on each direct booking, paid only when a consumer books and pays through the platform. (2) Optional pay-as-you-go tools in the surveyor toolkit (AI report tokens, dictation, comparable reports). (3) The wider Homemove moving-services ecosystem we plug consumers into. The directory itself is free. There's no commission on the job, no per-lead fee, no monthly subscription.
What's in the surveyor toolkit?
AI-assisted RICS Level 2 & Level 3 reports, snagging reports, voice dictation with field-aware transcription, image categorisation, editable HTML output, RICS standards check, a built-in CRM with email campaigns, market share dashboards by postcode, followed-agent tracking, planning data overlays, PropertyViewer, Homefinder, comparable-property reports, all in one back end. Do I need to be RICS-regulated?
Yes. Every firm in the Home.co.uk surveyor directory is RICS-regulated. We verify this as part of the claim process so consumers can trust every firm they contact.
How long does verification take?
If your work email matches your firm's website domain, verification is instant. Otherwise we do a quick manual check, typically within one working day.
Do I have to use the toolkit to be in the directory?
No. The directory and direct bookings are completely independent of the production toolkit. Take bookings, deliver reports your way, ignore the rest if you want. The toolkit is there if and when you want to speed up production, run campaigns, or pull market intel.
What moves my rate on the four-lever ladder?
From 1 August 2026 we no longer set one flat rate per firm. Four levers move it: keeping your diary live, running your pipeline through our CRM, writing reports on our tech, and delivering fast turnarounds. Do all four and you get the best rate on both Homemove panel work and private bookings. See the rate ladder above. Whatever rate applies, it locks the moment a job is booked and doesn't move afterwards.
Do I have to connect payments by 1 August 2026?
Yes, for panel work. Every panel firm needs Stripe Connect set up so payment can flow through the platform, and we will not accept invoicing for panel jobs booked after that date. Setup takes around five minutes. See the Payments page for the full detail.

The platform (directory profile, CRM, diary, mail, payments, e-sign, website and customer portal) is free, forever, with no subscription. The report tools are metered pay-as-you-go: Otto, AI dictation and image AI charge per use, and Surveyor Comparable Tool reports run at less than £7 each.
