Your home against your street

Pick your address to see what homes on your street sold for, moved to today, beside your own range.

How it works

Old sale prices, moved to today.

A sale from 2021 tells you little on its own, because prices have moved since. So we take every recorded sale on your street and in your postcode sector over the last five years, from HM Land Registry, and move each one by the official UK House Price Index for your council area and that type of home, from the month it sold to the latest month published (August 2026).

That gives a fair like-for-like line of what your neighbours' homes would be worth today. Beside it sits your home.co.uk range, built from the sales and homes for sale that best match your home, with a confidence level that says how much evidence is behind it.

Neither figure can see inside a home. An extension, a new kitchen or a tired bathroom move the real price, which is why a local agent's visit is the last step before you set an asking price.

Common questions

Your street, answered.

Where do the sold prices come from?
From HM Land Registry price paid data, the public record of residential sales in England and Wales. A sale usually appears a few weeks to a few months after it completes, so the newest sales on your street may not be listed yet.
How do you work out what a past sale is worth today?
We move each price by the official UK House Price Index for your council area, using the series for that type of home where one is published and the all-homes series where it is not. The index measures the average change across the whole council area, so it cannot see the condition of any one home.
Why is my street empty?
If no home on your street has sold in the last five years, or the sales are not yet on the public record, the street list is empty and we show sales nearby in your postcode sector instead.
Does this work in Scotland and Northern Ireland?
Only in part. We do not hold the Registers of Scotland or Northern Ireland sold-price records, so there are usually no street sales to show there. Your range still comes from homes for sale nearby, and it is wider, so a local agent's visit matters more.
Is the range the same as the main valuation?
Yes. It is the same free instant valuation as on our property valuation page, built from the sales and listings that best match your home, with a midpoint and a confidence level.
Will an agent call me?
Not from using the tool. If you ask us to save your valuation, we email it to you and keep it in a free account. An agent contacts you only if you then ask for a valuation visit.
