Agents who sell homes like yours

See which local agents sell homes like yours fastest, with the fewest price cuts.

How it works

Ranked on homes like yours.

We read the resale listings on home.co.uk within a mile of your address since August 2024, of the same type of home as yours and within one bedroom of it. If fewer than three branches can be ranked, we widen step by step, staying as close to you as we can: any number of bedrooms, then any type of home within the same mile, then two and three miles, then five, and say how far we went. If even that is too thin, we list the busiest agents near you unranked, with a link to your town's agent page.

For each branch we work out the median days from first listing to a sale being agreed, and the share of its listings whose price was cut. A home that first appeared already under offer is not counted as a sale agreed, because its days on the market are unknown. A branch needs at least twenty listings and twenty agreed sales of homes like yours before it is ranked. We rank on both measures together, and show the figure for all similar homes nearby so you can see who beats it.

We never show how many homes an agent sold, only medians and percentages. Agents do not pay to be ranked here.

Common questions

Choosing an agent, answered.

How are the agents ranked?
On two measures for homes like yours near you: the median days from listing to a sale being agreed, and the share of listings whose asking price was cut. Each branch is ranked on both and the two ranks are added together; a tie goes to the faster branch.
Why is an agent I know missing?
A branch needs at least twenty listings and twenty agreed sales of homes like yours in the area before we rank it, so a smaller or newer branch, or one that mostly sells other kinds of home, may not appear.
Do agents pay to appear?
No. The ranking comes only from public listings. Agents cannot pay to be placed higher in it.
What happens when I ask for a valuation?
We send your request to the agents you tick, and each one contacts you to arrange a free, no-obligation valuation visit. You choose who to instruct, if anyone.
Is a fast sale always best?
Not on its own. An agent can agree sales quickly by pricing low. That is why we show price cuts beside speed: the best agents for you set a realistic price and sell without cutting it.
Where does the data come from?
From the public listings of homes for sale that home.co.uk carries: when each home was listed, whether its price was cut, and when a sale was agreed. Homes sold off-market are not included.
