How this works
We take every home on your street in your postcode district, so a road with the same name in another town is left out, and look each one up in our history of resale listings. That history keeps a home after its sale completes and it leaves the portals, so agents who sold on your street still show. For each branch we show whether it agreed a sale there and the month of its latest activity. We never show how many homes each agent handled.
New builds and commercial property are left out. “Agreed a sale” means sold subject to contract or under offer, not a completed sale.
Questions
How do I find out which estate agent sold houses on my street?
Enter your address. We look up every home on your street in our listing history for the last 24 months, including homes that have since sold and left the portals, and show each branch that marketed one, whether it agreed a sale and when.
Does “agreed a sale” mean the house sold?
It means the listing was marked sold subject to contract or under offer. A sale can still fall through before completion. HM Land Registry records completed prices but not which agent sold the home.
Why does a well-known local agent not appear?
Only homes listed for sale on your street in the window show here. An agent may sell nearby but not on your street, or a home may have sold without being advertised. If nobody listed a home on your street, we show the agents who sell most in your postcode district instead.
Should I pick the agent who sold most on my street?
Local experience helps, but ask every agent for evidence: completed sales of homes like yours, how long they took and the price achieved against the asking price.
