Originally built in the 13th century as a Chapel within the grounds of the Strelley family Mansion for the sole use of the household. This then was renovated in the 1920's but You can still see remnants of the old chapel in both cottages.

Set in the idyllic village of Mapperley which nestles on the edge of Shipley Country Park with 18 miles of walkways and bridlepaths, ideal for riding horseback or walking, with lakes and reservoirs.

The Cottage is instantly welcoming from the moment you enter the hallway with the main focus being the original moulded Mullion window in front of you allowing light to flood in, there are lots of useful built-in storage cupboards and a ground floor W.C, with attractive wooden flooring and an open tread timber staircase leads up to the first floor landing.

The ground floor accommodation comprises of: a bright lounge having two windows either side to allow light flood in and has a heavily beamed ceiling and a wooden floor, from here we move into the farmhouse style kitchen with some appliances and beyond this there is a dining room with a vaulted ceiling having two Velux windows and French doors, these lead out to the rear, also making this a bright and airy room.

Moving up to the first floor landing there are two double bedrooms and a shower room, to the second floor there is a fully boarded loft with light, power and two Velux windows although the current owners use it as a bedroom it must be pointed out that there are no Council Regulations for this.

Outside there is a driveway with parking for one car, a shared pathway which crosses over number 27 leads to the front entrance door.
