About this property

Positioned ideally between Bournemouth, Southbourne, and Christchurch, this delightful 1930s detached house offers convenient access to surrounding areas and is perfectly situated close to the River Stour nature reserve and Iford golf course.

Upon entering, you are greeted by an open and airy hall with a sweeping staircase, leading to two separate reception rooms that offer versatile living spaces, a kitchen breakfast room with a large breakfast bar, plus a conservatory, providing an additional light-filled space perfect for enjoying the garden. The property also boasts three genuine double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a separate cloakroom, making it an ideal family home.

Outside, the property benefits from beautifully landscaped gardens, including an in-out drive and a garage. The rear garden is a serene green oasis, featuring an array of flowers and mature shrubs, offering a private and picturesque setting. A standout feature is the oak pergola, creating an inviting outdoor living space perfect for quiet evenings.

With its high ceilings and generously sized rooms, this home offers comfortable and well-proportioned accommodation. It also includes a large, clean and tidy, insulated loft space along with additional storage above the garage, catering to practical needs.

This property is excellently located for those seeking convenience and connection to nature. Enjoy easy access to local amenities, transport links, and outdoor activities such as  delightful walks or even a paddle along the River Stour or a round of golf at Iford!

When I asked the owners what made them buy it and what they have enjoyed about living there, this was their reply...

"We bought Culford to be able to walk to work but got so much more from the local area. Bournemouth Hospital, JP Morgan, the courts and others are all within easy walking distance, making it possible to leave the car at home and be back within minutes of finishing work. In a minute or so you can be on the River Stour paddleboarding and swimming. Within five minutes is Kings Park parkrun, great routes up St Catherine’s Hill and seven miles of golden sands. With all this on our doorstep, we have become a family of runners, transforming our health and way of life. The house is a proper home and despite being nearly 95 years old, we are only the third family to own it. Built in 1932, it has high ceilings and large rooms. At the heart of the home is an open and airy hall with sweeping staircase. There are three genuine double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a total of three loos together with a large, clean and insulated loft space and further storage above the garage. The mature, secluded garden has become another living space, and we have spent many quiet evenings on the deck of the oak pergola. My wife loves looking after the flower beds, shrubs and front garden, while our daughter has loved the south facing aspect and all-day sunshine. After living here for a decade, we can tell you that it is the sort of space where families grow in every way".
