Lead to CRM — Privacy
How the home.co.uk Chrome extension handles your data
Last updated 25 June 2026
This notice supplements our main Privacy Policy and covers the home.co.uk — Lead to CRM Chrome extension specifically. The extension helps estate agents copy a lead from their home.co.uk agent dashboard into their own CRM. This page explains what data it handles and why.
What data it accesses
When you choose Send to CRM on a lead you have already accepted in your home.co.uk dashboard, the extension reads that lead's details — the contact's name, email, phone and the property address — so it can hand them to your CRM. It only ever accesses leads you are already entitled to see; locked leads are never exported.
Where the data goes
The lead is stored locally in your browser (Chrome's extension storage) and is used solely to fill the form on the CRM page you open. The data is not sent to home.co.uk, to us, or to any third party. The only destination is the CRM you yourself choose to paste or autofill it into. You are the data controller for that transfer.
We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to anyone, do not use it for advertising or to build user profiles, and do not use it to assess creditworthiness. The data is used for the single purpose described above — moving a lead you already own into your CRM — and nothing else.
Permissions
- home.co.uk access — to read the lead you are exporting.
- Active tab / scripting — to fill the CRM form, only on the tab you are viewing and only when you click Fill this CRM page.
- Access to the CRM site you choose — the extension can request permission for other websites, granted by you on demand, so it can autofill on whichever CRM you use. It only runs on a site after you click Fill this CRM page there.
- Clipboard — to copy a lead, vCard or CSV to your clipboard when you ask it to.
- Storage — to hold the most recently captured lead on your device.
The extension contains no analytics or tracking and loads no remote code.
Retention
Only the most recently captured lead is kept, overwritten by the next one. You can clear it any time by removing the extension. Uninstalling deletes all stored data.
