Two months in: what we got right and what we are fixing

Two months after acquiring home.co.uk, an honest look at what has worked, what has not, and what we are building next.

Two months in: what we got right and what we are fixing

We are two months into running home.co.uk under new ownership. Here is an honest account of what has worked, what has not, and what we are fixing.

What has gone well

CRM integrations launched faster than expected. We had the adapter framework already in place from the Homemove platform, and adding new CRM providers turned out to be faster than we anticipated once the pattern was established. We are now at 18 integrations, with agents able to connect their CRM in minutes.

The surveyor product found its audience. Otto, the AI RICS report writer, has been adopted faster than we modelled. The combination of dictation transcription and AI image analysis turns out to be useful to people who spend their evenings writing up inspections. Word of mouth in the surveyor community is real.

The data reputation held. home.co.uk's thirty-year track record as an honest data source has translated to genuine press pickup when we publish market figures. That was not something we could build overnight. We inherited it.

What we are still fixing

The consumer search experience. Finding a property on Home works. It is not yet the experience we want it to be. We track 1,249,531 live UK listings, including about 45,623 new-build listings, and search speed, filter options and the quality of property data on individual listings are all being improved. None of it is finished.

The onboarding journey for new agents. Agents who connect via CRM have a smooth experience. Agents who are listing for the first time without a CRM integration face more friction than they should. We know this and we are working on it, alongside the 250 founding agents who signed up before we had fixed it.

Content. The blog you are reading now did not exist two months ago. The /news section is live but sparse. We have a lot to say about the UK property market and our own product, and we have not said enough of it yet.

What is coming next

The blog itself is part of the fix on content. We will be publishing regularly: product updates, market data, guides for buyers and sellers, thought pieces on the property market. We have the data. We have not explained enough of it yet.

On the product side, the focus for the first quarter of 2026 is the agent experience and the consumer buying journey. Faster search. Better property data. A smoother path from search to survey booking to completion.

We will keep reporting honestly on progress. The property portal market does not need more spin. It needs something that works.
