- Applicants must have a housing need that has been assessed in accordance with the Housing Allocation Scheme
- Applicants will have first priority if they can demonstrate they are on the MVDC Housing Register currently
- Applicants must not be an owner occupier, unless they are over 55 years old. 1 owner occupier over 55 years old with a gross annual income of over £50,000 and combined savings and assets of over £16,000 will not qualify to join the housing register
- Applicants must have savings under £16,000, unless they are over 55
- Applicants must have an annual household gross income under our income threshold based on the property size required
- Applicants must not owe MVDC Council monies for rent arrears; rent in advance; rent deposit; Council Tax
- Applicants must not owe any Council, housing association or private landlord money for rent arrears; and not to be responsible for unacceptable behaviour
- Get Living will reference all applicants. Any low credit scores will be assessed and a view taken on the reasons before a final decision is made
- 5 weeks rent in advance will be required before move-in
