Heworth Green is situated only about half a mile outside the historic city walls of York, with the property being particularly well positioned for easy access to the city centre, about a mile to Goodramgate.

There are three Golf clubs within about five miles of the village; Heworth Golf club (about ten minutes drive away), Forest Park Golf Club (about three and a half miles) and Fulford Golf Club (abut two and a half miles).
