Description
Description
A delightful house, one of twelve comprising the Barcote Park estate. The original country estate of Barcote Manor (Grade II listed) was built for Lady Theodora Guest, a daughter of the Duke of Westminster, in 1876, primarily as a hunting lodge with an impressive coach house and stables in the Tutor revival style. Once over 100 acres the current estate still retains its inspired and secluded location. Beautifully situated on the edge of a hill in 28 acres of landscaped private parkland with its original Victorian grotto still featured and surrounded by giant Wellingtonia trees, it is a truly idyllic country house retreat, full of character, natural beauty, and tranquility.
In 1996 the main Manor House was converted into four houses. The stables and coach houses were converted at the same time and comprise a further eight houses one of which is 6 Westminster Court. The maintained grounds of the estate are jointly owned and managed by the residents.
This property forms part of the original stable block and has tall ceilings throughout. Entering through the front door under the grand archway brings you into a bright and modern kitchen with built in appliances. The kitchen leads into a dining room with log burner and a large reception room, also with a log burner. The lower ground floor offers a great home office or 'den' space, with access onto the private decking, and a cloakroom and utility room.
The first floor has a large principal bedroom with two built in wardrobes and ensuite bathroom, and there are further two double bedrooms and a shower room.
Outside is a single garage and two allocated parking spaces.
