Description
The Tour
The house is set back from the pavement behind mature bushes and a neat bike and bin store. Its entrance is on the raised ground floor, reached via a short set of steps. A cerise pink front door hints at the confident and contemporary interiors within.
To the right of the entrance hall is a bedroom-cum-reception space with a large bay window and an en suite bathroom. A second office lies at the rear of this storey and has dual-aspect windows and neat bespoke shelving. A bright utility room lies adjcacent with colourful wallpaper by Cole and Son.
Stairs descend to the main living spaces, which unfold across the entirety of the ground floor. They are arranged in a lateral open plan, united by wide plank herringbone-laid parquet flooring. At the far end is the kitchen, which gives way effortlessly to the garden. Crittall-style glazing bookends the room, delineating it from the living room when desired, while patterned claybrook tiles lie underfoot. A large island/breakfast bar sits centrally with space for two chairs, while teal-painted shaker-style cabinetry has complementary brass accents. Sleek Corian worktops run above both the island and main units.
A dining area lies in the centre of the level, with the house's main living space at the front. A large bay window draws light deep into the space while creating a private and secluded atmosphere.
Upstairs, on the first floor, are the main bedroom and its generous en suite bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry provides plenty of storage, while the subtle-off white walls ensure peacefulness. The bathroom has underfloor heating along with a cast-iron bath positioned beneath a window. There is also a sizeable walk-in shower as well as double sinks above plenty of storage. A nursery sits at the far end of the storey.
An additional bedroom crowns the top of the house with handpainted wallpaper by Ananbo; skylights here offer glimpses over neighbouring treetops and over the skyline. The adjacent en suite has a bath, a sash window and exquisite zellige tiles.
Outdoor Space
The garden stretches out at the rear, with a levelled patio designed to seamlessly extend the living spaces. An outdoor kitchen flanks the left-hand side, with storage concealed under concrete worktops. There electricity for outdoor cooking appliances.
Enclosed by slatted fencing and an an abundance of leafy climbing plants, the remainder of the garden is laid to lawn and has ambient outdoor lighting. A useful shed is tucked in the corner.
