Living Arrangement and Expectations:

• This is a License to Occupy Agreement, not an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST), which offers more flexibility and is ideal for shared living arrangements.

• You will be expected to be around for an average of 4 out of 7 nights a week, except for holidays (roughly 32 days per year).

• A key aspect of the arrangement is listening to the resident in the mornings to provide some company and support to start the day.

The resident is adjusting to house-sharing again, so your patience and understanding will be essential to ensure a smooth transition for both of you.

Additional Responsibilities and Opportunities:

• Support and outings: You may have the option to take her out for meals, attend jazz or gospel events, or share music-related experiences. In such cases, you would be responsible for chaperoning her and ensuring her safety during outings.

• Household duties: In exchange for affordable accommodation, you will need to contribute a minimum of 10 hours per week to light household chores, such as cleaning, vacuuming, taking out rubbish, and tidying shared areas. A cooperative and friendly atmosphere is essential.

• Sharing a meal or two is also welcomed, as the owner enjoys good food and company.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a mature individual (preferably aged 40 or over) who is reliable, thoughtful, and fluent in Queen’s English or well-spoken without issue. A caring nature, patience, a great sense of humor, and a respectful, easygoing personality are important qualities for this arrangement.

For peace of mind, a Basic DBS check is required, which can be self-applied online.
