Description
A lovely Welsh Cottage set in some of the most striking scenery that Mid-Wales has to offer! In the heart of the rural hamlet of Cefn Gorwydd, this lovely two bedroom character property has been modernised and improved during the current owner's tenure, whilst retaining all the character you would expect to find.
The property is approached from Cefn Gorwydd over a small fenced front garden, and the front door opens up into a gorgeous reception room that spans the breadth of the property. Measuring 5.78 x 3.71m, there is ample space for a desk if you need to work from home, as well as space for dining and relaxing. The room is complimented perfectly by a multi-fuel stove inset into a feature fireplace. An opening from here leads into the modern fitted kitchen, measuring 3.60m x 2.46m, enjoying views over the rear garden and beyond, and door into the modern family bathroom.
From the reception room, a carpeted staircase rises to a first floor landing with built-in storage cupboard, which gives access into the main double bedroom, which measures 3.74 x 2.91m, and the comfortable single, measuring 2.89 x 2.11m. The views in particular from the first floor are outstanding, with panoramic views stretching for miles over the stunning Mid-Wales countryside.
Externally, the property has the benefit of the aforementioned area to the front, and to the rear is a expansive, private garden with seating areas laid to gravel and plum slate. The remainder of the garden encompasses a large flat lawned area, which borders adjoining farmland, and there is plenty of storage with two garden sheds, one of which is utilised as a workshop.
An ideal first time buyer opportunity, or second home in the heart of stunning Mid-Wales, which must be viewed to be appreciated in full!

Cefn Gorwydd is a rural hamlet located just two miles from 'Britain's Smallest Town', Llanwrtyd Wells on the River Irfon. Llanwrtyd Wells is one of the smallest towns in Mid-Wales, sitting astride the River Irfon. With a population of approximately 850, it famously claims to be the smallest town in Britain. The town is located on the A483 between Llandovery and Builth Wells near the Tywi and Irfon valleys. Llanwrtyd Wells grew as a spa town around the Ffynnon Ddrewllyd, which still exists, following the discovery of waters with healing properties in 1732. The town is the site of both the World Bog Snorkelling Championships and the annual Man versus Horse Marathon, as well as other annual events. The market town of Builth Wells, located at the heart of Powys, is just 13 miles away in what is arguably some of the most beautiful countryside in the United Kingdom. Builth Wells lies within the Historic Boundaries of Brecknockshire, situated on the banks of the River Wye and the River Irfon – The upper section of the Wye Valley. Builth Wells is famously known for hosting the annual Royal Welsh Show, which is the biggest agricultural show in Europe and attracts over 240,000 visitors to the town each year.
